I am a PhD candidate from New Zealand. I gained my bachelor's and master's degrees in New Zealand in molecular biology. For my PhD project I am researching a family of proteins in the cell wall of Mycobacterium tuberculosis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Berney. My aim is to uncover the function of these proteins to give insight into how they contribute to disease and whether they could be targets for drug development or vaccine candidates. This research is part of a larger project with research groups from across Switzerland. I am excited to be living in Switzerland and explore all the wonderful things this country has to offer.
