Nadja Hedrich is a PhD candidate in Patricia Schlagenhauf's group, working on the project "Infection Tracking in Travellers" (ITIT). She has a BSc in Biology from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, Canada and an MSc in Epidemiology from the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute in Basel, Switzerland. Her past research involved using tourists as a sentinel population for tracking of arboviruses using FTA cards and involved travel to, and collaboration with FIOCRUZ in Recife, Brazil, and Labor Spiez, Switzerland. She has experience working in the travel clinic of the Swiss TPH as well as the COVCO covid study at the same institute. Her research interests lie in arboviruses, infectious disease epidemiology, and travel medicine.
