Tick-borne Encephalitis (TBE) Systematic Review and Reporting Data Analysis and Sentinella Survey Loss-of-Work Analysis due to Influenza and Influenza-like Infection

Per the BAGs request we will conduct a series of systematic reviews of the TBE literature encompassing the proposed topics: TBE Biology and Epidemiology; TBE Infection, Treatment and Burden; and TBE Vaccinology and Immunology. The reviews will focus on literature from Switzerland but will include literature from other areas/regions where applicable and appropriate. In addition to systematic review of the TBE literature, we will further conduct an analysis of TBE surveillance data from the national compulsory reporting system as well as TBE vaccination coverage in adults and children in Switzerland. We will additionally conduct an analysis of loss-of-work related to influenza and influenza-like illness in Switzerland based on the mentioned Sentinella family doctor survey. For this analysis we will evaluate the incidence, duration and costs (productivity loss) associated with loss-of-work by age, gender and region in Switzerland.
