Kyra Zens completed her Master in Public Health (MPH) in Infectious Diseases and Vaccinology at the University of California, Berkeley (2011) and her PhD in Immunology at Columbia University (2017) studying T cell memory establishment during viral infection and following vaccination. She joined the Institute for Experimental Immunology at the University of Zurich as a Postdoctoral Researcher in 2017 and the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute in 2019. Her current work focuses on vaccine-mediated protection from illness, integrating both laboratory-based and epidemiological assessments, with a major focus on tick-borne encephalitis.
