I have a MSc in Exercise and Health Science and a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. My main research interest is the field of health behaviours, especially physical activity, with the goal to improve health and well-being in patient populations and the general population, especially children and adolescents. I am doing research in the field of childhood cancer survivors including cohort studies, cross-sectional studies and clinical trials focussing on physical activity, physical fitness, health, well-being and follow-up care of this population. In addition, I do research in the field of skin cancer prevention and survival, newborn screening for cystic fibrosis, clinical trials methods and pandemic preparedness.
