Dominik Menges is an epidemiologist and public health physician currently working as a senior researcher (Oberassistent) and university lecturer (Privatdozent) at the EBPI. His research focuses on cancer epidemiology, cancer screening, and cancer treatment, as well as patient preferences and patient-centered care in oncology and chronic conditions. He has substantial experience in the conduct of large cohort studies, research methods and evidence synthesis, as well as health economics and health technology assessment. Through his work, he aims to enhance patient care and public health decision-making in Switzerland and internationally.
Dominik Menges graduated in Medicine from the University of Zurich in 2014. He holds a Master of Science in Public Health (MPH) from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (2018), as well as an MD (Dr. med., 2018) and PhD (Dr. sc. nat., 2022) in Epidemiology from the University of Zurich. He is a FMH board-certified specialist in Prevention and Public Health (2022), and he completed his habilitation and was appointed as a Privatdozent (PD) in Epidemiology and Public Health at the Medical Faculty of the University of Zurich in 2024.
He currently is also a visiting researcher at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (MEB) at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and serves as a board member of the Swiss Society of Medical Specialists in Prevention and Public Health (Swiss Public Health Doctors).
