Philipp is an Infectious Diseases physician working at the Cantonal Hospital in St. Gallen, Switzerland. He holds an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Toronto. His research is mostly about viral respiratory diseases and their sequelae in healthcare workers. Also, he has a particular interest in antibiotic resistance and antimicrobial stewardship. He is the head of the SURPRISE+ cohort, a prospective multicenter cohort studying infectious diseases in Swiss healthcare workers.
