We develop tools for personalized, preference-sensitive care to address the challenge of unwarranted variation in health care. These tools are based on valid causal estimates on benefits and harms of interventions, outcome prediction models and preference elicitation studies that are brought together in highly stratified benefit harm balance modelling studies. We also contribute to patient-centered care models in the home and community setting and to dialogues of Smarter Health Care.
