Keynotes for IBNP Forum 2025:

Pierre Côté DC, PhD

Professor Côté is an epidemiologist and a chiropractor who holds the Hann-Kelly Family Chair in Disability and Rehabilitation Research and the Ontario Tech University Research Excellence Chair in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation. He is the Director of the Institute for Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (IDRR) at Ontario Tech University, Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Center on Rehabilitation and Musculoskeletal Health, and Chair of the IDRR unit of the Cochrane Collaboration Thematic Group – Functioning, Disability and Rehabilitation. Côté is also appointed as a Professor of Epidemiology at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the  University of Toronto, Adjunct Professor of Disability Prevention at Southern Denmark University, and as Honorary Professor, School of Physiotherapy, MGM Institute of Health Sciences, Navi Mumbai, India. His current research focuses on understanding “why” people experience limitations in functioning, and “how” can rehabilitation be of benefit to individuals with musculoskeletal pain.

Professor Sallie Lamb DSc DPhil FMedSci FCSP FBOA

Sallie Lamb is Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, and Mireille Gillings Professor of Health Innovation at the University of Exeter.  She is an internationally recognised scholar in ageing, disability, and rehabilitation, and an experienced methodologist in the area of clinical trials and high-quality evaluation of health care practice.

Sallie is Director of the recently established NIHR Exeter Biomedical Research Centre (BRC).  She has a strong commitment to improving the lives of older people through excellent research that answers difficult questions and can inform policy making and commissioning. Sallie has worked with many research and clinical teams to deliver clinical trials that have influenced clinical guidance and impacted practice in lower back pain, neck injury, spinal fracture, osteoporosis and fall prevention.

 

 

Lauren Clack, Prof Dr Phil

Prof. Dr. phil. Lauren Clack is a Professor of Implementation Science in Health Care at the Medical Faculty, University of Zurich. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Zurich and an MSc in Applied Ergonomics (Human Factors Engineering) from the University of Nottingham. She has worked a researcher and project leader, first at the University Hospitals of Geneva and then at the Division of Infectious Diseases and Hospital Epidemiology, University Hospital Zurich. She specializes in the application of Implementation Science methodology and human-centred design to improve the systematic integration of evidence-based practices into care – with a particular focus on infection prevention and patient safety interventions. Prof. Clack is currently involved in several national and international projects including leading the implementation work packages of two projects funded by the European Commission H2020 Framework.

 

 

Stéphane Genevay, Dr Med

Stephane Genevay is associated professor and senior attending physician in Rheumatology at Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève in Switzerland. He is the leader of a multidisciplinary team specialized in the conservative treatments for patients with complex spinal condition. He is an active member of several Eurospine committees. He was part of the task for the development of EUROSPINE Interdisciplinary Diploma in Interdisciplinary Spine Care (EDISC) and is currently a member of the faculty for EDISC and for Eduweek, the surgical diploma. His current research focuses on understanding the neuromuscular modifications observed in chronic low back pain patients and developing new therapeutic approaches, as well as on preventing chronicity by improving management in primary care. He has published more than 70 papers in peer reviewed journals and is a member of the “Lancet Low Back Pain Series Working Group”.

Thursday June 26th, 2025 – Gala dinner at Schatzalp

The gala evening will take you into the world of The Magic Mountain and Thomas Mann. A historical place where tuberculosis patients were treated more than 100 years ago.
You will experience a wonderful evening with a gala dinner in a marvellous location.
Later in the evening you will be tempted to dance. You can look forward to 50 years of rock history that will get you moving!
