The Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine is jointly supported by the Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Prevention Institute and the University Hospital Zurich outpatient clinic for internal medicine. It focuses on the effects of workplace and environmental conditions on people and their health.

Its main research priorities are occupational lung diseases and allergies, in particular human breath analysis. 



  • Residencies in occupational health (Category A + B) 

  • Occupational health and toxicological investigations 

  • Biological monitoring 

  • Patient support through consulting. This service is available to all general practitioners, as well as to clinics and institutes of the University Hospital.

  • Currently, for organizational reasons, no medical consultations can be held on site.
