Epidemiology of Travel-Related and Local Infections

Our research team focuses on the epidemiology of travel-related and local infections. Major studies include an SNF funded, digital-health, project (ITIT) Illness Tracking in Travellers and a "one health" project ICARUS which evaluates mosquito (dengue, WNV) and tick-borne infections in Europe in the context of climate change. The Mosquito on Board (MOB) study evaluates the air transportation of exotic vectors. Traveller surveillance projects include EuroTravNet and GeoSentinel.
