Biostatistics is a fundamental discipline at the core of modern health data science. The correct design and analysis of medical research studies is at the center of our interest. We develop and validate new methodological approaches for clinical trials. Other areas of application are replication studies in regulatory settings and statistical aspects of infectious disease epidemiology. We are strong advocates for open and reproducible research.
