This ongoing project addresses the need to understand and measure process factors during the implementation of organizational health interventions. The appraisal of the intervention process is a relevant factor for changing social systems (such as teams and organizations). Interventions that fail to build up positive appraisal and outcome expectancies in their target group will fail to achieve much effect. This might be even more relevant for social systems, as interventions have to trigger a collective dynamic of mutual influence, learning and exchange, often relayed by selected intervention participants. Thus, in this research endeavor, scales were developed and validated to capture relevant process factors. Process data is linked to measures of intervention effectiveness, where possible with longitudinal research designs.
